King David Road Rehabilitation

Bethlehem municipality, in cooperation with the Center for Cultural Heritage Preservation CCHP, has implemented the restoration and rehabilitation of the King David road in Bethlehem. This project is within the "Urban Sites Rehabilitation Projects in Bethlehem, Bethany and Burqin" Program, funded by the US Agency for International Development, USAID, through Compete project in the West Bank.

In this project, Bethlehem municipality contributed to the amount of "11,000" NIS, for the maintenance of the street and the surrounding squares.

King David Road is a detour that provide a drop-of point at the entrance of the Pilgrimage Route, from The Cathlic Action round-around, and an exit to the vehicles to the main street "Manger Street". This project aims to help solving the problem of congestion in the city.
